Natalie's Reply Home

Hi parents. We are testing whether certain plants have an effect on inhibiting fungus growth or repelling  ants from cutting the leaves of crops that we apply it to. The accommodations are great and we just have screens for windows. My horse was pretty good until it tried to buck me and I had to hold on for dear life. But it was fun going up the mountain. We are going on hikes today and I'm pretty excited! I hope jack isn't crying to much

  1. Hi Natalie!
We saw pictures of the horse adventure. Your horse looked cute! I'm glad you hung onto the bucking bronco! The view looked spectacular! Your experiment sounds interesting! I'm sure it's fun to watch it unfold and gather the data. What are the temps there? Does it rain frequently? Where are you hiking today? What foods are you enjoying? Are the dogs friendly?

We saw mama turkey today and all 8 babies. She brought one of them up on our deck railing to eat from the feeders. What birds have you seen there?

Jack says he's filling buckets from his tears. He has his combine tomorrow.

Have fun! Love, Mother, Dad, and sobbing Jack

  2. Dear loving parents and brother, yes the dogs are friendly, and yes it rains a lot. Yesterday we went to a national park and we went swimming in the hot springs. It was so cool! I haven't seen a toucan yet, but I'm keeping my eyes open. I'm having a lot of fun and it's sad that today is the last day here, and were presenting our experiments. Tmorrow we leave for the turtle place. Tell jack good luck with football

  3. Dear Favorite Daughter,

I wasn't sure you saw the previous post, so I was going to post another on the mainstream, but I see you found it. We just can't believe all the things you guys are doing! You must enjoying it if you are sad to be leaving! I can't wait to hear about your experiment. I bet it was interesting to hear everyone's presentations. That national park sounded really cool. How fun to swim in hot springs! I certainly hope you are taking loads of pictures! I want to see all these sights. Do you know where your palm is planted? Are you planning on coming back to see it? How was tortilla making? Were they delicious? You know we expect a complete Costa Rican dinner when you get back! Have you seen any monkeys! When are you going zip lining? Will you be looking for turtles at the turtle place at night? Lewis is currently barking at me to play with him. I'm ignoring his outbursts....barely. Gram left for Kansas. My cousin Stacy and her kids will be here Sunday and we'll be seeing them. Jack has been spending a lot of time with his new friend Will and they volunteered at the Tour De Tonka registration today. I planted the canoe flower today. Hope it grows! Dad has been showing all his cohorts your blog pictures. He really misses you! We all do! Have fun!

    Love, M, K, T and Nan
